Romans 12: This Is A Test! For the next 50 minutes this church will conduct a Romans test

Note: Our pastor starts by telling us this is Lecture 11 on The Book of Romans. Apparently somewhere early on he lost count. This is number 12. I know... “Isn’t this the guy that’s always right?” Well... you probably got him confused with someone else. But that’s alright. I don’t think Rush would mind.

Last week pastor told us that next Sunday will be the mid-quarter exam. Last Sunday he went over all the questions and told us all the answers. Yes... this is an advanced Bible class disguised as a church. We operate in a classroom setting where people can raise their hands and ask questions.

This pastor believes that in order to understand the Book of Romans you must have a basic understanding of the symbol and the signs of circumcision. Yes, you read that right... circumcision.

But...

Here is your test (you thought we were kidding?):

1. What is the great thesis of the Book of Romans?
a. Universal salvation
b. Salvation by Grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone
c. The just shall live by faith
d. More tithing
e. Both b. and c.

2. Habakkuk 2:4 is quoted by Paul at Romans 1:17 because
a. It is God’s answer to Habakkuk’s second complaint
b. It is God’s correction and indictment against Israel’s doctrinal failure
c. Habakkuk’s first complaint is unanswerable and unsolvable
d. Only both b. and c.
