Joel 177: Why A Tree Of Death? What caused the Tree of Death to be put in the garden of Eden?
We are being showered with gifts... okay, one gift. It’s from Dime Box Dan. A New, New King James Bible. And we have a letter from one of our most beloved Cliffsiders, Robin.
We hope we’ve identified Melchizedek as Jesus Christ, the Aleph Tav, the Infinite God. Abraham is clearly the vehicle by which Christ does all of these things... the Lord’s Supper, the Passover Supper. That takes us to Satan inside Judas given the place of honor. The reason for John 13:21-30. The Supper that Melchizedek brings is the first communion, the first supper. And that very same person, Jesus Christ, brings the Last Supper. The people need to be redeemed and we need Christ’s blood to do that. How much does it cost? Melchizedek knows to bring bread and wine because He is Jesus Christ.
Now to the connectivity of Adam and Abraham. Genesis 15 connects directly to Adam. Clarence Larkin mapped out everyplace in the Bible where Satan appears. The Trail of the Serpent. I think you’ll like the discussion that follows. Isaiah 14, Ezekiel 28, is where Satan fell.
And we knew this pastor would do something astonishing today. It’s the cause of what placed the tree of certain death in the garden.
Abraham killed the three, three-year-old animals. God provided those animals, which takes us to the first place that a Ram is caught in the thorns, a picture of Christ who made sure His head was in a crown of thorns, But... that’s not where the first place we have thorns. In Genesis 3:17, in the garden. And from here... you’re on your own.
