Joel 167: Are We Lepers? Well... How does God’s Word make that connection?

Pastor Chronister starts today’s lecture jumping right back into the amazing passage of Scripture which is Genesis 15. If you’re new here, I assure you that you will learn things that you’ve never heard any pastor teach. It’s what deep teaching should be. We’re answering a question from someone of our internet congregation about the two birds in this passage. Why does the Lord God Almighty put all this detail into the procedure of the cleansing ceremony that must be accomplished when someone comes to the priest after being healed of leprosy? Never mind that no one has ever been healed of this disease throughout the entire Old Testament with only one exception. But what about the symbology involved here? Trust me... there’s much more here than you’d expect.

The purpose for today is that Leprosy is God’s analogy of our pre-resurrection condition. We have a rotting debilitating disease. Leviticus 14 is screaming out Jesus Christ over and over again. So, we get into it. Open your TextBook and read along with us.

Needless to say, there is so much information that this pastor throws at us that you’ll just have to listen. There’s no way I can write a good description, but what that means for you is that you’ll have a pause and rewind button that is unavailable for me as I write this in person.

We start coming to a conclusion by seeing how all of the elements here relate to Christ and His redemptive work.
